My brain hurts too much to figure this out.

To Caulfield, who has ‘studied’ her for a long time, Mrs. Olsen’s response would have been predictable. He set it up so her answer would seem to justify his avoiding doing the homework.

A better reply would be that hitting the books and the weather are not in any way related. This would also fall within her predilection for correction.

This is on par with the saying “A lawyer never asks a question they don’t already know the answer to”.

He’d better if he doesn’t want to get in trouble.

http://www.gocomics.com/frazz/2019/04/27Remember the movie Top Gun, specifically the line, “I feel the need for speed”? Well, move over, Maverick. “I have a predilection for correction” is about to blow you out of the sky. Maybe. Maybe not. But you have to admit, those guys did kind of become sitting ducks. A catch phrase may be jet fuel, but when it degrades into cliche, it gums up the turbines.

I, uh, don’t think I have to worry about that kind of success. Correct me if you feel the need.

The fallacy of this strip is that Caulfield probably likes to read at the park.

Frazz made a statement, in the last panel. It should have ended in a question mark: He does his homework?
