Suppose Her Majesty makes it to 100 in 2026, from whom does she receive a personalized royal birthday card? (Did she even give her mum a card back in 2000?)

My Father-in-Law received his card a couple months ago. My Dad was going for the card, too, but “only” made it to 93.

So 90% of a snow bank is actually air?

Does the queen give personalized birthday cards to people who aren’t living in England and live that long? That long a lifespan doesn’t run in my family, and my favorite brother passed away way too soon and without any kind of warning to the rest of us, but you never know how long I’ll live even though I have type one diabetes.

Take care and may God bless.

If snow is 90% air, then why is it so damn heavy to shovel? (My aching back!)

The proportion of air in snow varies with the conditions under which the snow forms. Typically, if the weather is very cold, the snow will be light, fluffy, and will seem dry. If the weather is in the upper 20s, snow will be heavy, sticky, and wet.

Not just Brits who receive the card its all members of the Commonwealth, so Australians, New Zealanders, Canadians and various other Commonwealth Countries receive the card as well. Citizens also receive a card for achieving 60th Wedding Anniversary.

I learned something new when looking up U.S. citizens getting cards from the president when they are 100. (Which they do). They can also get a card when they are 80, or if they’re a veteran, when they’re 70. (They have to fill out a form, though).

Where I lived as a child, the mayor would come over with a journalist to congratulate personally, hand over a small present and have a picture taken for the local newspaper. When my grandmother was 97, she told me “they weren’t interested in me when I was young and beautiful, so they should not come now when I’m old and ugly”. She didn’t see her 100th birthday, but two of her sisters died 103 and 106 years old.
