If, a very big if, he succeeds in persuading China to put enough pressure on NK to verifiably demilitarize their nuke program, does this not merit consideration for the NPP?
Never mind what you consider his motives to be. If any generic POTUS was able to reverse the NK nuke program, is that person not worthy?
@Andylit (and others): IF Trump is really actively involved with reducing tensions in the Korean peninsula and is successful, I agree he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, even is his real agenda is for self-glorification. I also agree that past possibilities by former Presidents for peace may not have occurred because the U.S. didn’t feel that openly expressing a non-interest in “freeing” North Korea wouldn’t have helped the U.S. image because of other areas of active conflict (Viet Nam) and the cold war with the USSR. However, anytime during the administration of Gorbachev and later would have provided opportunity for any President (Republican or Democrat) to express that the U.S. was not interested in attacking North Korea at all and that the presence of forces were only to protect South Korea. Although that was a known fact, repetition of that statement would have eventually made North Korea appear to all the world like a selfish little brat even more than it already was and China then may have told North Korea to come to the peace table many years sooner.
That last sentence is guessing that that was the point of the meetings that Kim Jong Un had in Beijing recently.
Ridiculous cartoon. Kim isn’t the one holding that stick; Trump is!
So far, Trump is the only person I’ve heard has suggested that Trump deserves The Prize. He says “everybody” is saying (which can’t be true, since I am not), but has he actually named any other individual who he claims is saying he deserves the prize?
After the Nobel Committee awarded one to Obama for achieving exactly nothing, it’s hard for me to get excited about the Republican efforts to get one for Trump. The prize has been devalued – although not as much as if Trump gets one. It will then be a complete laughingstock.

Trump gets only the piece prize. For Stormy.
Unless the Cohen investigation reveals others.
Then, piece prizes all around. And mulligans.

That a$$hole doesn’t deserve a Nobel Peace Prize now and he never will. What a pathetic excuse for a human being…
