So glad Pengo didn’t stay lost for long.

Is the mug still stuck to the man’s hand? At least he can still hold the baby.

I love the baby lunging for Pengo! So cute. Elvis and Puck are on the scene for the latest (at the very bottom of the panel).

This is why you ALWAYS have backups of the kiddo’s favorite toy/comfort object. And a backup for the backup. And a backup for the backup to the backup.

“A penguin’s natural habitat”? Maybe if you filled the bathtub with ice…

Pucky’s chart-making skills sure came in handy to help find Pengo!

The Woman knows she needs to find Pengo and fast. Sleep will not happen in the Pink House tonight without it.

How did Pengo get into the tub? Was he Pengo-napped by one of the boys? It’s been established that they’re all good boys so it’s a mystery.

Good morning and a happy Tuesday/Bluesday/Mewsday, orbsters and orbabies! It’s a rainy day here in Barrie. We are still waiting for a call from the oncologist’s office.

I hope the man was able to unglue himself from the mug before he picked up the Baby/Toddler. And then there is the mystery to be solved of how Pengo got into the tub in the first place. Maybe a certain three good boys can find out.

Penguin? When I saw the picture my first thought was “Wicket Voodoo Doll.” (For those of you who read the old BCNs.)

Love how animated Pengo is with his little eyebrows and his obvious glee at seeing his friend in panel 4! And I just noticed the pencil behind the man’s ear. Such neat detail!

Pengo is rather large for a pet toy, perfect for the baby. Our Reilly adopted a full sized Lambchop at the shelter, when we got him they sent it along. We are on our 3rd year with him, and the 2nd Lambchop is almost worn out and have a spare ready to go. We still have the original by the bed near the kitchen, but he almost never shows recognition for that one, mostly using the one upstairs. He brings that one downstairs by the entrance door sometimes when we are away for awhile.https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/multipet-lamb-chop-dog-toy-1451839?&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&adpos=1o2&scid=scplp1451839&sc_intid=1451839&cm_mmc=PLA-GG--PTC_P_SUP_PLA-GG_FY17_SCShopping-Desktop--Non+VIP-Desktop--58700003272135490&utm_source=google&utmmedium=cpc&adpos=%7badpos%7d&scid=scplp1451839&scintid=1451839&kwid=p29150652993&device=c&gclid=CjwKCAjwiurXBRAnEiwAk2GFZkDu4YtUdLEwzUQpzodIlmLycHcUAjG8ojrWlXHbajZbg-QwsN6RNRoCQ94QAvDBwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I still remember the terrible night when my special pillow, Pinky, was left behind at a hotel when I was about 4 or 5. There was no sleep until Pinky was retrieved!

For anyone with replacement teddys, etc., & fear the furbaby won’t accept the new one, try rubbing the old item thoroughly over the new one. Might even sew some of the old stuffing into the new toy. The smell is retained, which is comforting to the critter.

For kids, maybe have a little “going to the Memory Box” party. Explain to the child that it’s time to give the toy a nice long rest. Wash one last time, & carefully place in a box designed for occasional looking, like an old treasure chest. Allow the child to see it & touch, but explain it must go back & rest again. There is comfort in knowing that something so loved is not just tossed, but treasured. Then, when the child has little ones, imagine the wonder of the grands to see something special from the parental past!

For ratty blankets, patching or embroidering over holes might offer a longer life. “Quilting” the blanket to a plain piece of cloth, bath towel, etc., can give it an extra year or so. One can get creative with such repairs & make them extra personal. This, too, can eventually go in a memory box.

One last thing! If you travel, find a place on the precious item where you can write an “If found, call xxx-xx-xxxx.” on a noticeable area. Increases the chances of a happy reunion! Loads of love, dear orbsters!!! >^.,.^<

at first i thought elvis meant the baby was the most powerful member of the family. the baby gets attention when he says i’m hungry, i’m thirsty, my diaper (litterbox?) needs changing (scooping?). wait, i see a pattern..
