Interesting extinct species. I find the one in the back fascinating. I believe the audio narration will tell you that the last moderate Republican was actually burned at the stake for calling herself a Democrat. Cannibalism can be pretty ugly.

I find it interesting, the President is White and the Tea Party is silent, what a coincidence!!

Yearly deficit scheduled to hit $1,000,000,000,000 in 2020. Can’t wait to hear the Republicans call for more tax cuts for the 1% as a solution.

Don’t believe it. The deficit hawk will make a recovery as soon as a Democrat is elected President and needs to fix the economy yet again.

Lyin’ Ryan was only a deficit PARAKEET, and then only when we had a black president!

What I find the most hypocritical is the way Republicans used to accuse Democrats of being the “tax and spend” party. Meanwhile, the party of budgetary responsibility has become the “tax cut and spend” party.

The last real deficit hawks were voted out in 2016, people didn’t want a president who took us out of a recession, they wanted one who would give everything to the wealthiest. If you don’t think Obama was a deficit hawk, you’d have to go back to Clinton who not only pulled us out of recession, but left a surplus for the republicans to destroy.

I remember the first protest marches by what came to be known as the “Tea Party”! Most of their signs dealt with ‘fiscal responsibility’ and , yes, even at the outset there were more than a few with openly racist connotations – in truth the initial protest marchers looked to be as comfortable wearings hoods and bedsheets as they were in street clothes.

The only redeeming virtue of the political Right is that, finally, with the election of Donald John Trump, they no longer feel the need to cloak their true intentions behind a mask of ‘noble goals’!

The republicans have proven (and are STILL proving) that they have no clue on how to govern on ANY level – their ENTIRE legislative repertoire consists of variations on the theme of, “No!” They have NO INTENTION of EVER helping anyone do anything because their entire political philosophy consists of the outright rejection of ANY idea that requires them to ‘help’ anyone who can’t afford to pay for that help, in some way!

Republicans have finally displayed their true colors, their political philosophy has boiled itself down to “Whatever It Takes to Win” and they have finally ‘schucked’ the mantle of “Family Values” and “Moral Integrity” which caused so much pain to its members as they attempted to wrap themselves in the Republican “holier than Thou” garment while continuing to live in their private ‘cesspools’ of greed and moral turpitude. It HAS to be liberating to finally acknowledge that they do not occupy any kind of ‘high ground’ at all! Welcome to Reality, G.O.P.! The harsh glare of the Real World is blinding, at first – but you’ll get used to it (eventually).

Old school John Birch red meat Republicans are turning over in their graves around this Republican collaboration with the Red Russians to swing our last election.

I call bull s#!t. We haven’t seen genuine deficit hawks in decades. The people calling themselves deficit hawks these days only say that in order to cut funding to education, infrastructure, and social services. The moment the conversation moves to corporate tax cuts and military spending, those same so-called hawks all of a sudden believe budget deficits don’t matter.

The moderate display should read “moderate politician” and have a half elephant and half donkey body.

The Republican Deficit Hawk has always been a fake species. Never really was in the main, just as a political posture and a means to under cut the New Deal and Square Deal to end them once and for all.
