If he could get rid of his baggage, change his personality, views of the world, history, policy, and truly perform the functions of being a national security advisor…nah…he’d still cock it up and push us toward confrontations. We are screwed.

NATO is expelling Russian diplomats after the spy poisoning, even the US is expelling diplomats. stormy Daniels was threatened, while Trump faces the fall-out from the 60 Minutes interview. As Trump’s lawyers send another round of threats to Daniels. Anderson Cooper will interview Karen McDougal – who had a 10-month affair with Trump. All while the Russia probe descends on Nunes’ re-election, Trump’s legal team is in shambles while Mueller’s probe heats up. Trump didn’t take anyone’s advice but his own, and now it is coming back to bite him.

Enter bomb thrower John Bolton, a strange little man who is ready to push the world toward a war with Iran. He is no ordinary neoconservative hawk. He has been obsessed for many years with going to war against the Islamic Republic, calling repeatedly for bombing Iran in his regular appearances on Fox, without the slightest indication that the understands the consequences of such a policy. Bolton has also called for war on North Korea, his elevation illustrates the degree to which Trump is influenced by the conservative infotainment sphere.

The Specter of nuclear World War III is hanging over the heads of our children and their future. I’m not going to say…… can it get worse? Because we’ve already seen that it always does with this Administration.

Conservative pundit and evangelical Christian, Michael Gerson: There is also little doubt that this scandal will occupy a serious amount of media attention going forward. It certainly looks like the president benefited from a coverup that helped win an election. And plenty of questions remain: Where did the hush money actually come from? What was Trump’s direct role in the coverup? Who else is out there with similar stories to tell? What foreign intelligence services might know these stories and regard them as leverage? This type of scandal demonstrates why character does matter in politics. The main problem is not sex. It is a certain approach to public life. Trump feels exempt from the normal rules of honesty and decency. He plays close to ethical and legal lines. And he uses his wealth and influence to shield his embarrassing behavior from view — with hush money, nondisclosure agreements, legal threats and lies from the White House briefing room podium. He forces everyone around him to become complicit in his corruption. Members of Congress, White House staffers, party officials, conservative media figures and religious leaders are all expected to be accomplices. And we are left with a vacuum of integrity at the heart of our government.

Trump has made a career out of paying and manipulating people to be dishonest about him. It is how he built his image as a plausible president, even though he was more of a con man than a successful businessman. This weakness of character is now what moves Republicans in Washington to speak of him as though he were a great leader — bowing and scraping in the hope of getting what they want. Sometimes they do. But in the process they give Trump what he wants: people pretending he is something he is not.

In this scandal, such tactics aren’t working. Trump can’t get the porn star to say he is wonderful and move on. This is the strange, unexpected public contribution of Stormy Daniels.

Palantir, a secretive company co-founded by billionaire Peter Thiel, worked with Cambridge Analytica, the political analysis firm that harvested data from Facebook users, whistleblower Christopher Wylie told U.K. lawmakers Tuesday.

Wylie gave testimony about the scandal in which 50 million Facebook profiles were mined for data that was harvested by an app, which shared the information with Cambridge Analytica.Cambridge Analytica claimed it worked on all the digital aspects of Donald Trump’s 2016 election campaign. Thiel is a well-known supporter of Trump and donated over $1 million to his campaign. He is also on the board of Facebook. Steve Bannon, who was a top executive at Cambridge Analytica, led Trump’s campaign.Palantir has previously done work for the National Security Agency and is backed by the CIA’s not-for-profit venture capital firm. Palantir’s CEO Alex Karp, who is also not accused of wrongdoing, was also one of the technology executives who was at a meeting with Trump in December 2016.
