He still has to be approved by the Senate. Hopefully during questioning his true nature will be exposed and scare the hell out of the Senators and they will reject him. The Senate leadership has less control over its members than the House so sanity might, I say might, prevail.

“Bomb-Em’-All” Bolton; One of the few people in D.C. able to make Darth Cheney look like a pacifist hippie… and a fellow draft-dodger, as well.

I think I’m beginning to see a pattern here. Old people in charge who don’t care if the world lives longer than they do.

John W.M.D Bolton was a key player in the deceitful machinations that gave us the Iraq war of Bush 43 – which, among other things, killed 6,000 + U.S. soldiers and plunged us into an economic depression.

Bolton crafted the administration’s lies in order to misrepresent to the public the details of the National Intelligence Estimate on Iraqi WMD. The bipartisan Senate Select Committee on Intelligence exhaustively documented these distortions and condemned Bolton’s role in a series of reports following the invasion.

U.S. and British intelligence concluded that the evidence was inadequate to support Bolton’s judgment that ‘Iraq is currently pursuing…an integrated and comprehensive approach to acquire nuclear weapons.” Senior British officials gave a secret “Downing Street” memo to Prime Minister Blair reporting that “the facts that the Americans (Bolton) are touting are being fixed around a policy of war and invasion.”

The republican senate of 2018 will confirm Bolton in record time.

National Security Advisor is not a position that needs confirmation.

Not that any Republican would vote against it anyway.

So far, no Trump Disciples explaining how this is another indication of how only the best people would be hired and how this makes America great again.

braindead is right (as usual). No senate confirmation needed. We will have to suffer this murderous fool until Trump twitter-fires him. Shouldn’t take long.

All Trump needs is an extremist neoconservative beating the drums of war in the Oval Office. Will Bolton be another Trump cabinet member who can’t get security clearance? Or are we going to change the requirements for security clearance?

“We will build up our military not as an act of aggression, but as an act of prevention,” he said. “In short we seek peace through strength.” Trump used similar rhetoric during the election campaign when he railed against the war in Iraq.

Drunk with Power. Trump wants him there because he’s afraid that his own hands may not be big and strong enough to push “The Button”.

Bolton supported the Vietnam War but avoided going, and now he will fearlessly support sending our kids to die in any new wars possible. Count on it.
