Now do you wish you spent the extra money for the lubricated catheter?

I don’t see a syringe to deflate the balloon…I believe this will qualify as urethral dilation.

They overpaid. Seeing it put in, on the other hand ………

I was in the hospital once talking with another patient who said “Man, I’d rather have a fist fight with a gorilla than go through that again.”

Maybe they should charge by the size of the catheter-a number 30 French would be worth about $10,000. (this is slightly bigger than the typical pencil).

Catheters are no fun wether they are being inserted or removed.

Having a catheter inserted in the ER was such a welcome relief when I had an episode of urinary retention, one day. I couldn’t pee suddenly; when I finally got to the ER they drained 800 ml out! What a relief! I had to wear a catheter and a leg bag for 4 weeks. I got lucky though; the urologist rheemed out the whole system with something called a green laser and now everything is back to normal. No cancer, just age.
