No one cares about Curling? I think it looks very graceful at the start and I admire anyone who can get down in that position – and get back up without help!

Sorry gymnasts, in 1976, the IOC BANNED the backflip in figure skating. Besides, you’d be hard-pressed to top French figure skater Surya Bonaly’s one blade landing.

“No one cares about curling”? Tell that to my husband who’s just been glued to the TV watching the finals!

We came up with the Curling Luge. You launch the stone down the luge track. Now THAT would be a little more exciting! (Though actually I like Curling. It’s weird but soothing.)

On the sand, hm, interesting. And in Mr. Danzinger’s cartoon the snow shovel athlete is throwing the shovel right in front of the ice hurdlers.

I mentioned bobsled jumping on Tank McNamara the other day…..Btw does anybody besides me think that ice fishing would make an excellent Winter Olympics sport? (What about ice spear-gun fishing, while in your luge?)

Snow shovel throw? I don’t know a single neighbor who doesn’t have either a snow blower or a plow attachment to a lawn tractor.
