A young woman I know visited Russia in the last few years. She said the people were warm, welcoming, and very kind. She said people went out of their way to help her find her way on the Moscow subway system, for instance. She had a wonderful time.
The Russian people she met are not reflected by the Russian government. I think it would be good to consider that. I my humble opinion, it’s like the way most Americans are not reflected well by the current US administration.
I have high hopes for our Ice-Wrestling team this year, but I can’t find when it’s being televised. That and the Inuit Slalom (like Alpine Slalom, but in snowshoes rather than skis) are my favorite Winter events.
Speaking of curling, one wonders if, in their younger days of body-building, if either Ahnold Swarz or Sean Connery ever used any substance similar to the IOC banned substances. If so, then Look where it got them! Or is this a Salon Competition? ;^)

I heard that an athlete from Russia was banned for doping. The event? Curling.
Curling? Shuffleboard on ice and hyperactive elves with brooms? Why would an “athlete” playing that game need doping?

Curling was invented in Scotland as an excuse to drink beer … true!
