I figured that Armstrong would acknowledge the Eagles’ first ever Super Bowl win. I was just wondering how, with the time lag of the comic world. Nicely done!
(and I’m willing to bet there are lots of people in Philadelphia still celebrating)
Ah, football, I wish I understood it (I’m more of a baseball kind of person). Funny, I just saw the “Pigskin: Peanuts” traveling art show from the Charles Schulz museum, and it’s amazing how much football Peppermint Patty used to play with Charlie Brown. It makes me blush that it reminds me of what they were playing in Weapon Brown when they grew up. Yes, football, American football. I saw some rugby on TV the other day. It’s a wonder anyone survives those matches. Really.

Normally, Philly’s two major newspapers (Inquirer and Daily News) are $2. The day after the Super Bowl, $4. And sold out everywhere.

When lightning strikes in Philadelphia you have to enjoy it while you can.

As a Chicago Cubs fan, I’m STILL jazzed about them finally winning the 2016 World Series — the first time in 108 years.

Some people would say that “h= =l” finally froze over. (not sure I can use that here)

While my family is Cleveland fans, my father was a Philadelphia fan growing up, so we cheer for them, too. And we were THRILLED by this win!
