That will only work if they can convince Trump to stay on script. I think that Trump will probably lose his temper go off script and start spouting some of his lies to cover his behind. And that would be jackpot for Mueller. Lying to the FBI is a felony. I’ll bet Mueller looks forward to tweaking Trump’s temper and see if Trump will have a temper tantrum while under oath. And then Mueller will finally have a fun time which not many people can say if they are having to talk to Trump.
