We are ALREADY getting record numbers of earthquakes in Oklahoma due to fracking. Even according to the official state site — and God knows the government is in bed with the oil companies — the number of magnitude 3+ earthquakes is far higher now than before fracking:
My career was NPS Ranger, BLM wilderness specialist, environmental coordinator, lands adjudicator (checked lands peoples’ work for accuracy), and outdoor recreation planner, with other duties as assigned, jobs based on university degrees, supplemental education, and field experience.
Trump’s appointees have NO education, experience, or proclivities to run their departments, including Interior, to protect our resources, citizens, or the environment for the benefit of this, or future generations, world-wide, not just at home. Their entire job is to DESTROY all regulations and “government” for the short term profit of corporate sponsors. The Republicans have been doing this since Reagan/Watt days, but have only now secured a total idiot as POTUS, and a totally dispicable swamp/cesspool in House, Senate, and Executive, with support from SCOTUS, notably Gorsuch who is the son of the WORST previous appointee to Interior, and a stepfather, Burford, who was the WORST Director of BLM in history. All three branches are now controlled by the MOST DANGEROUS idiots in the history of nations, not just our own, and their actions do threaten all nations.
Drilling near the Yellowstone “super volcano” is the least of our worries. Donald the Menace has his hands on the steering wheel of the clown car, and the clowns have disconnected his brakes. He doesn’t care, and neither do they. No airbags will save us, but the “People’s Court” in November CAN fix the brakes, and steering, if we throw the clowns in jail for impaired driving, and get them out of office, AND all those appointed positions.
In the northeastern Groningen province in Holland, they are suffering from consistent continual earthquakes on the average of 3.4 magnitude that damages their homes and businesses and infrastructure, these are man-made earthquakes caused by gas extraction. Energy giants Shell and Esso, now known as ExxonMobil, set up the extraction company along with the government of Holland. The constant damage to people’s homes are causing health problems because of stress and tension. I imagine that Oklahoma is going through the same problems but I’ll bet you that the oil companies are not paying for the Damage Done to personal property the way it’s done in Holland. Fracking is dangerous and poisonous to the environment and the people who live in it or near it. Holland’s whole economy is based on that deal with the oil company and everyone in Holland relies on that oil based energy for everything in their lives. Talk about a deal with the Devil. Now they are protesting and want it to stop!! What are their chances of getting Holland to shut off the faucet? Probably nil or none. They have the same chances of getting oil to stop Drilling as we have chances to get oil to stop fracking.
