Wil Wheaton played Wesley Crusher on Star Trek The Next Generation.

Colin Ferguson has been on several shows and has been the Maytag Spokesman.

I don’t know much about Colin Ferguson, but many STTNG fans consider Wesley Crusher a “Mary Sue” (or the equivalent male name, if you must…. )

possibly a stand-in for Gene Roddenberry himself.

He’s too-good-to-be-true teenage genius, a prodigy who bests the adults at solving difficult problems way beyond his job description…

After being ignored as too young, or untrained, he too often heroically saves the day, yet remains modest.

It would kill Roy to lose to Wesley ….

and, of course, to his own wife.

    Not that Roy is sexist .. but she’s … you know… a woman…

Sometimes it is better to let people think they are better than you at something (but only by a little) – then they may want to play more often.

Wil Wheaton hosts an Internet show called ‘Tabletop’ where he and 3 guests play different board games. It’s a lot of fun, if you’re into board games. Here’s a link where they play Catan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3WJTlDa7oo
