First, off, that was EXCELLENT. Second, I just want to say that almost all strips that outlive their creators just plain shouldn’t. But Ms MacNelly has totally captured the spirit of her late husband, and Mr Brookins has done such a great job on the artwork that I can reopen, say, The Shoe Must Go On and today’s strip and see little difference. Thank you both. (I’ve been reading my old comic strip collection books, planning on giving them away. I own the first 10 or so Shoe books, and a couple of later ones, and I can’t bear to part with ANY).
