The total length of the U.S. borders and coastlines are more than 20,000 miles — or greater than ¾ of the earth’s circumference. Aside from the fact that our drug epidemic comes from U.S. pharmaceutical companies, terrorists come from airports and boats, and the Mexican border is already more heavily guarded than the Iron Curtain, Mexico ain’t never gonna pay for ‘the wall’.
No amount of political double-talk will make it so. If this faux border crisis actually existed, the president and congress could deploy otherwise idle troops along the borders any time for a fraction of the cost. Or we could deploy them in Syria as payback for the Saudi terrorist attacks.
