Bannon: “I refuse to answer your questions, because I don’t feel like it”.

Republican committee member: “Okee Dokee”.

The problem is this will not work. Bannon has agreed to talk to Mueller, but if he tries to stonewall, all Mueller has to do is activate the subpoena and take Bannon in front of the grand jury. Then Bannon may have a choice to make, talk or go to jail. Will Bannon be willing to spend time in jail for tRump?

Muelller has already laid the ground work.

Refusing to talk to Congress and only to Mueller may make it easier to make a deal. The White House may have severely overplayed their hand in telling him to keep quiet. Bring the pressure Mr. Mueller and good luck.

Bannon certainly didn’t cooperate – he showed contempt to the congress. Trump has a lot to hide, the weak congress is complicit in helping him obfuscate the investigation.

The deal with the WH was that questions would be limited to the campaign time period. Which is the only thing relevant to the investigation.

Instead, the Committee delved into other topics and time periods not related to the topic of Russian influence on the election.

Bannon was 100% correct to not answer.
