Don’t forge, Braindead, the repugs have the talking point of “libtards hate tax cuts for the poor and middle class!”….and then the russki trolls will try to pile on with poorly researched comments about state budgets and the fed budget ties.
The view of 45 and the 115th, apparently, is that the 1% is a minority and shouldn’t be neglected, so increasing the deficit for a good cause is not a problem?
When the economy is good, that’s the time to bring down the debt. When the economy is bad, that’s the time to go into deficit to stimulate the economy. For some reason the Republicans have the opposite plan: when things are good, increase the debt, then when things get bad, argue that you can’t stimulate the economy because you don’t want to go deeper into debt.

Not ever. Reagan, a deficit hawk for years, abruptly did a 180° turn when he was in office, and raised our deficit more than ever. Ditto every single Republican since.
It’s time we kill this myth. The GOP doesn’t care about the deficit except as a tool to whip the Democratic Party and eliminate any government benefits to actual Americans. When it comes to shoveling money on the military, corporations, or themselves, they couldn’t care less about the deficit, and never did.
@MotiveMagus you speak the truth. Keep doing so. The TRUTH cannot be repeated often enough to fight the lies this Administration is trying to promote. The repubs keep disparaging the truth to their gullible 30% voter base hoping to keep their support .. perhaps this time the TRUTH will win.
Oklahoma’s Senator Lankford’s continuation of Senator Co-burn’s list of government misspending of money never covers the most egregious misspending. May be because republicans are spending it.

They are only defect hawks when someone proposes doing something unreasonable like feeding children.

@striped cat…yes, they are “defect hawks” as in defective. Just ask the Kansas republicans.

^ @TWCLIX, Ha! I’m not sure if my writing “defect” instead of “deficit” was a typo or a Freudian slip.

How does adding another $58 bilion for “defense” to burn in the waste barrel help the deficit?
