Too true. My nephew died in Nov. 2016. Still in my phone contacts.

Poignant is what came to me, as well. The modern version is Facebook reminding me of deceased friends birthdays.

Interesting. I’m going to have to take a page from Carol’s book.

My wife has been gone ten years now. I keep her recorded voice on the answering machine so I can still hear her when I need to.

Put a piece of scotch tape over it so that it doesn’t smudge.

Those names in my rolodex of people i have lost stay there. Period.

Isn’t it possible that, after a time, the pain will turn to the joy of remembrance? I occasionally run across letters from friends now gone, and while I still miss them, I’m happy to remember them, and I remember them the way they were when they were alive and lively. And lovely.

Now this is a truly meaningful piece. Carol continues to demonstrate a wonderful talent and an impressive range of content.
