And do these women invite this guy into an office they can lock from the inside and force him to have sex with them? Or get him fired if he doesn’t?

    False equivalence.

This kind of thing really doesn’t happen as much as this cartoonist seems to think. I think the cartoonist has let TV shows (soaps and sitcoms) affect his understanding of women in the workplace.

What exactly is your point steve? Women objectify men, yes. If men kept it to looks and thoughts, there wouldn’t be this problem. The problem is the harassment, for starters. The fact that the looks come with catalogs and even threats of catchy name calling , like resting birch face, if the woman doesn’t react in an expectantly pleasing manner. Second, it is the quantity of objectification – daily, constant, and female bodies saturate advertisement and the media (yes, there is more male objectification in the media now, but nothing coming close to parity). And then there is rape. And then there is workplace harassment, denying of opportunities if sexual favors aren’t provided, and rape in the workplace. So, steve, stop being a rape apologist and educate yourself.

Has “they do it too” ever worked to improve the situation or is it just an excuse to continue bad behavior?

The cartoon addresses “objectification”, not sexual harassment, which many here conflate in order to refute a point the cartoon never attempts to make. The notion that women at times objectify men is indisputable, and seems relevant in any debate about the villainy of men who at times objectify women.

Yeah, that’s the problem, all those women objectifying men. It’s almost as bad as all those poor people thinking they should have healthcare.
