While most of North America is in the deep freeze, much of the rest of the Northern Hemisphere is having a heat wave.

On the day Trump tweeted about “We could use a bit of that global warming.” and how it was made up by other nations to hurt us, I looked at a weather map of the world. The 1% of the land mass that is the Eastern United States had below average temperatures. The rest of the world’s land mass had above average temperatures.

This is huge win for Trump he’s only 99% wrong this time.

Global average temperature takes all temperatures around the world into account, (except for the very cold temperatures, which are not representative of the average and must be omitted for the sake of accuracy). Local temperatures are only a single data point for the global average, which remains fairly constant.

We had a foreign exchange student from points south staying with us us one winter. She had never seen snow. When we told her about snow angels, she had to try it, and she plopped herself face down in the snow!

Climate change is the word of the day, because we were wrong when we said global warming. It’s just the weather people!
