Comedy Central starting at 12 Eastern.

It will also be on mobile devices, but I don’t have any of those.

The Roots, Cheryl Crow, Sam Waterson, “Father Guido Sarducci” and others to be announced.

225,000 RSVPs but pundits doubt that many will show, the permit is for 60,000

Will Tina Fey play Palin and Will Ferell be Bush?

I am opening up disk space on the DVR….

^ Are you a fan? I watch the 7pm rerun of the Daily Show and record Colbert so I can watch Jeopardy! in real time.

Obama was pretty good on his appearance this week.

wonder how trashed they are going to leave the mall. getting bused in for free so i imagine it will be a mess, unlike becks where there was nothing to clean up. who would believe that tho, even with pics to prove it.

The thin skins of pundits will be chaffed up really good after this. Sounds like they already are. Freedom of speech is so painful. Only in America the land of corporate freedom.

Opening request was leave it cleaner than when they came, maybe some topiary as well. The fact is the Mall has been trashed for a long time, and they can’t get the money to fix it or clean it up.

Watching the rally, then switch to “news” out to keep people terrorized.

The rally is about being rational human beings- that’s definitely NOT “political”.

It wasn’t political Stantis. If you watched Stewart regularly, you’d know he is an equal-opportunity mocker. He was not gentle with Obama at all on his recent appearance on the show, his segments have been increasingly harsh on the Dems this entire year.

The rally was a quick shot around themes to get in on time, but spot on to what America sorely needs- listening and thinking, instead of yelling. It was also notable that the rally took place on the opposite end of the Mall from Beck’s, and didn’t have the reflecting pool taking up “parking space”- there were far more who turned out for this event. The NPS – DOES NOT GIVE ANY NUMBERS ANY MORE, yet several folks are saying NPS cites low numbers– doesn’t happen!

Having been NPS, I appreciate they quit doing it, AND appreciate that Stewart started out by asking people to clean up after themselves.

Don’t have the chance to watch Colbert or Stewart regularly, but when I do, I realize that like George Carlin– the two of them EACH express more intellect and thought than all the “political pundits” on the right (or left) combined. The put the true meaning of “liberal” forward, thinking, and accepting new ideas, and listening to others who may HAVE those new ideas worth considering.

Tired of very poor spelling by the very excitable far right, read TEA leavings. Please use a spell checker when you rant and rave. I am afraid with such poor spelling that your ability to read is similarly hampered and grossly inadequate to even understand proper English. If your inability to understand proper English results in the election of grossly under qualified candidates who seek to change the USA, I fear for the future of my USA.

Please listen to educated people that can reason about all aspects of a situation. If you can’t do that please don’t vote.

^ The problem is that it takes 60 votes in the Senate to get anything done.

Obama may not quite be Bill Clinton doing crossword puzzles in a few minutes in ink, but he is intelligent, articulate, and I will vote for him again.

Um, I suppose you support Palin in 2012?

I spell checked for many, many years, and an error could cost thousands of dollars. I am more relaxed now, I may miss some errors. But the idea…………………..

    Ooooohhhh ……………..

    Cognitive dissonance?

You support someone who has no command of The King’s English and cannot think, just parrot?

If misspelling bothers you just wait till the GOP takes away what little school funding exists…especially at the college level

Actually, I’d say Stewart’s “Rally to Restore Sanity” was political, but nonpartisan, compared to Beck “Rally to Restore Honor”, which was political and partisan.

^ No, wasn’t aware of Bugs Bunny’s use of word “maroon,” though I did get it had to do with misspelling. I assumed you were deliberately trying to misspell moron, but the spelling you picked had its own odd definition in context.

Haven’t seen a Bugs Bunny toon in decades. (I’m too young … NOT ;-)

I was at the rally. The only thing that could be construed to be considered political is the plea to not let fear win.

It’s obvious which party uses fear to further it’s agenda.

    funded by whom? comedy central.

    the main purpose? entertainment

most of the people I know who went complained that it wasn’t political enough (well, mostly they complained about not being able to see or hear anything. that was my main complaint. plus the metro…)
