It was losing advertisers or their threat to stop advertising for fear of consumer boycotts that brought Beck down. He will continue mongering on AM radio where enormous doses of hate and fear and conspiracy are brokered to an appreciative audience. Nothing he says is better than Hitler’s greatest hits.
About 5 years ago it was obvious what he was…and emerging demogogue… so I checked out his bio on wikipedia to find out more. He comes from a family of many suicides and mental emergency problems involving alcohol and drugs. His bio has been cleansed since then and rewritten with all the pertinant suicides and problems removed. That makes for a very interesting comment of wikipedian objectivity. I know people worship him but on the other hand lots of people smoke crack.
Strange how this alleged populist group’s power waned when their financing by oil billionares linked to Muslim countries was revealed. Maybe the oil billionares share the feelings of distress that the ordinary families have in common? What an inspirational thought that is.
His administration reminds us of what happened in Mexico. Bad to worse. A mixing of crime and funding and an appeal to foreign thugs and prison gang money to create a hybrid culture.
