wife, all 4 kids and I stopped buying stuff for xmas 30 years ago. Instead we spend the holidays working in homeless shelters. Far more satisfying than buying stuff for Xmas that is broken or thrown in a closet before New Years. Now our kids have their families doing the same. Kids 5 and older, soon learn that giving a piece of themselves to the very poor on Thanksgiving and Christmas warms the heart and creates memories that last forever Have a great Xmas, I know we will. And the money saved by not buying presents, goes to the Salvation Army
First…. Slim looks a whole lot better with the beard and mustache….. he should consider growing one permanently. Second, while I can definitely see the reasoning Slim is using is kind…. he is not being kind in leaving Clovia out. It would have been better for him to a) still buy Clovia something, perhaps less pricey, or b) use funds he had for himself (or asked Clovia to buy the items for the family instead of himself).
