China is playing Trump like a fiddle, feeding him familiar foods, taking him out to his favorite outing, and telling him how much they like him. giving him a private dinner in the Forbidden City and a red carpet welcome across from Tiananmen Square. But Trump does not have good chemistry with Jinping, he doesn’t speak Trump’s language and he is geared to not develop chemistry. It seems to be working, Trump has been very conciliatory. A bilateral relationship with the US is now just a matter of stroking Trump’s ego, and that’s all it takes to set up trade negotiations on this trip to China.
Please note that Donnie has a long history of speaking really, really tough until he has to actually face the institution or person that he’s been ‘bad-mouthing’ – with the face-off comes the collapse of Trump like a House of Cards – but this is expected behavior since this is what a third-grade playground bully would do and that pretty much describes Donald John Trump to a “T”.
