There should be a giant golden dollar sign right next gun. The US worships two gods, guns and money. The group that worships money retains their power by conning lessors to worship the guns.
Bless our Gun, O people, let the sound of Gun’s shots be heard, who has kept us among the land of the living, and has not let our feet slip.
Praise Gun from whom all bullets flow; Praise him, all creatures blown away; Praise him above all other rights; Praise Riffle, Pistol and Assault Weapon. Amen.
Eight killed and 13 injured by a truck in New York, we find out that authorities have been checking out folks renting trucks for some time to halt “Muslim terrorists”. Tragedy and steps taken. 58 killed and nearly 500 wounded in Las Vegas by a “white guy” with guns, and the outcry is “don’t register our guns, or regulate our purchases”.
Religions of peace, which actually includes real Islam, not the distortions from ISIL, can make humanity a little better. Buddhism is NOT a religion of persecution as being adulterated in Myanmar. So in how many nations is that “good Christian” nation, the United States, now killing people, or occupying, to “defend” the nation 3,000+ miles away??
All good comments-and all true.Religion and nationalism are the most corrosive things that there is .Guns just makes things worse. What is it with “grown” men and guns?
If you put your faith in a religion or a culture, you will end up with the short end of the stick. Religions get twisted so easily by pathological, fanatical leaders. Cultures can be twisted in the same way. Is there a solution to this problem? Socrates and Plato seemed to think there was a solution. By teaching their students to think logically, even empirically. If the brain can be trained to think, as well as to see and to hear what is physically true, then realistically proven true Solutions to problems can be found. They believed that Civilization was built on a Foundation of true Solutions not on fanaticism.
Religion and politics have coexisted from the time of caves and clubs to the present – and have continued to be codependent as well! All political leaders have used laws (the club) as well as divine approval (religion) to anchor their reigns. Until recently, America has used both the club, in the form of our laws and our military and a facet of religion under the guise of our moral obligation to rule over others who have not ‘accepted’ the obvious correctness of our stance. The Trump presidency has undermined the perceived effectiveness of our our laws by consistently siding with law enforcement agencies even when they appear to be ‘wrong’ and by the destruction of the moral ‘superiority’ of their ethical positions by their constant lies and prevarications!
The Trump Administration, and, for that matter, the G.O.P., no longer have any moral justification for existence.
Actually, Matt should have used “radical”, not “fundamentalist”, as so many called “fundamentalists Christians”- like Falwell or Robertson, ARE RADICALS,, who often go AGAINST the fundamentals of Christianity. They act just as ISIL and others around the world ignore the fundamental tenets of the religions they profess, but don’t practice.

Remember, “Religion”, ANY “Religion”, exists solely to separate as many gullible idiots from as much of their money as quickly as possible, PERIOD!

Republicans were trying to make silencers legal on the day of the mass murder.
Republicans have done nothing to resolve our gun problems, stop voting for them.

67% of Americans want saner gun laws, only one group is stopping that.

What percentage of the population actually wanted silencers made legal?
What percentage of the population will die due to our extremely liberal gun laws?
