Pre-emptive defacement!
The first brand new car we bought I have put every ding and dent in , which my wife is glad because I can’t blame her. Sad.
Buy a used car, all the dings and dents provided already.
Had a vehicle years ago that was taken down to bare metal and painted in pearl. Came out great. Put a ding in it on the second outing. Theen I felt comfortable driving it.
I knew a guy who did this for real. Not a massive scratch like that, but a small one in a hard to see area. Weird.
Got a new truck back in 1970 or so. Son took it for a spin and came back with two pock marks on the windshield.
My dad used to do that to every race car he built, before the season started, just so he could say HE put the first scratch on it….
