I’ve always had contempt for the dishonesty of trickle-down con artist Paul Ryan, but now his sheer cowardice could make Judas Iscariot vomit. From conservative pundit Michael Gerson: GOP denial about Trump has generally taken Ryan’s form. The president may be eccentric and divisive, but Republicans need to keep their heads down and think of tax reform. This assumes that the main challenge is to avoid distraction from essential tasks.
But the real problem has always been Trump’s fundamental unfitness for high office. It is not Trump’s indiscipline and lack of leadership, which make carrying a legislative agenda forward nearly impossible. It is not his vulgarity and smallness, which have been the equivalent of spray-painting graffiti on the Washington Monument. It is not his nearly complete ignorance of policy and history, which condemns him to live in the eternal present of his own immediate desires.
And just a little bit more, I promise: No, Corker has given public permission to raise the most serious questions: Is Trump psychologically and morally equipped to be president? And could his unfitness cause permanent damage to the country?
It is no longer possible to safely ignore the leaked cries for help coming from within the administration. They reveal a president raging against enemies, obsessed by slights, deeply uninformed and incurious, unable to focus, and subject to destructive whims. [Godfreydaniel here: Not only all THAT, but Trump’s senility is catching up to his insanity!]
Funny how just a few years back Lyin’ Ryan was one of the golden boys of the G.O.P. when he was running with Mittens Romoney! Now he’s vilified by almost anyone with an I.Q. higher then their shoe size!
Good cartoon, Danziger. (Maybe you should be Dan Zinger).
It’s good to remember that Trump is the chosen one of the REPUBLICANS. He was chosen by REPUBLICANS out of 17 candidates.
Trump’s appointees were all confirmed by 100% of the REPUBLICANS in the Senate.
REPUBLICANS raised NO concerns when his campaign was run by a paid foreign agent. They raised NO concerns when he appointed a paid foreign agent as National Security Advisor.
Even now, REPUBLICANS express dismay of some of his tweets, but NOT over any of his policies.
REPUBLICANS, as directed by the Kochs, are desperate to get their tax cut for the rich through the REPUBLICAN Congress before Trump does something even they cannot ignore.
Speaker Ryan said, after the release of the Trump recording of his bragging that he was in the habit of “sexually assaulting” women and that he couldn’t help himself(!) that he could no longer support Donnie nor could he ever defend him, again, because how could he justify himself to his daughters if he did? Well, either Paul Ryan shipped his daughters off to a convent somewhere in the wilds of Wisconsin or he finally had to confess to them that he was just another politically ‘spineless’, hypocritical, weaseling Republican (pardon the redundancies!) Ryan and the vast majority of Congressional republicans are showing, if not admitting, that they truly believe that “The ends justifies the means!” My personal opinion is that the “Slime molds on the walls of Hell are as the seraphim in Heaven when compared to Republicans in ANY moral sense!”
The rest of the GOP is lined up behind Ryan to get a lick of that sweet, sweet, anti-liberal truth juice. It is the best tasting drink there is, believe me folks. No one could make better juice than Trump, and if you don’t like it you are a FIRED!
A point of Interest…. Abraham Lincoln won the presidency in a four-way election. Imagine that. Four parties put forth candidates and Abraham Lincoln won. Makes you wonder if we could have a dark horse candidate from a newly recognized political party (the Republican Party had just been organized) win an election in this country?
The current batch of people in congress remind me of the mice that infested congress way back, thereby allowing tail gunner Joe to ruin lives until ol’ Joe started stepping on their tails.

“I thought Hillary’s campaign was financed by foreign sources and perverts!”

When Trump Disciples post stuff like this, do they really believe it?
Are they so conditioned?

All dems need to vote in 2018 so we can retake the majority and impeach Trump since the Republicans will not do it.
