The only place we go to on the Friday after Thanksgiving is the local race track has an incredible Christmas light display. We’ve gone to it the last 4 years and it’s become a beloved tradition. During the day we do our decorating.
Back in the 90’s a toy store’s point of sale in a mall went down the day before Christmas. The entire store was down. I was the technician sent to get the store back up. I couldn’t get near the mall. I tried for several hours but that was that.

It’s not as awful as it used to be, since online shopping got popular… but I NEVER want to work in a department store on that day again, regardless!

At our small store it was always peaceful and the few shoppers enjoyed it. All the idiots were fighting over perceived bargains at the mall.
