In my view, “some” gun control is necessary. Abortion should be available but rarely used. There are other means of birth control. Please use “common sense” in both cases.
@ANTEQUETRACMAN through inaction Congress is validating the murder of every innocent killed by guns. If they spent as much time and effort working on how to control and regulate guns in an intelligent and responsible manner instead of ignorantly trying to control women’s bodies by outlawing birth control then we might see a country with lower violence. You want to stop abortions… try proposing more birth control and sex education for all young people, in fact for all people. That in itself would make abortions unnecessary except for extreme cases.. of perhaps birth defects or life endangerment of the mother to be. Knowledge not ignorance.
Lunatics with large arsenals should be disarmed. There’s no question of diversity when human lives are at stake. You are either for the cessation of needless deaths or you’re insane.
If ANYONE, liberal or conservative or even “middle-of-the-road” desires a cessation of abortion in America the way forward IS available! One simply must support the administration, forced or otherwise, of the administration of anti-pregnancy medication on EITHER females or males but preferably, BOTH, without specific request for pregnancy, which would be approved or rejected based upon fiscal responsibility of the applicant. Some may consider this “intrusive” but it is no more “intrusive” than laws stipulating how and even if you can abort a fetus! And it would even reduce the governmental intrusion into women’s and men’s sexual lives over what is being advocated now. Depending on your ‘definition’ of “intrusion”, of course!
