The dog eats them. The cat just pats them, leaps backwards, and then pats them again. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

My dog recognizes the sound of my “just saw a spider” shriek and she comes running to my rescue.
Both of my dogs are oblivious. Useless dogs. lol
