I think it’s less getting people elected, than attaching your name to someone likely to get elected.

With the DNC and RNC having platforms that are based on continuation of the trickle down, supply side, neoliberal economics which favors the wealthy, it doesn’t take much effort to get a non-establishment candidate elected, warts and all.

Brannon’s record looks quite successful so far. He could probably get a racist, sexually assaulting, giant leech elected. Oh, wait … he did.

Funny part is that Strange may have had a fighting chance if McConnell had kept his Super-Pac out of Alabama. Not saying it was the only thing that mattered, but dumping $5 Million from out of state into the primary is absolutely guaranteed to honk off a large chunk of voters.

In my opinion, a substantial number of primary voters chose Moore simply because they wanted to kneecap McConnell.

You’d have to be insane (or a Russian operative) to vote for Roy Moore, but I’ve got to admit that “Oh, boy, we want Roy” is a very catchy slogan.

I heard outtakes from an interview with Roy Moore on the radio recently where he explained why it is correct for everybody to be forced by law to adhere to the teachings of the bible regardless of their religious beliefs. I also have read interviews with Taliban commanders explaining why everybody should be forced to adhere to sharia law. Their rationalizations are so parallel it is scary.
