It gets darker when you don a hood.

ALMOST 100% accurate. You forgot to mention it’s 150 years in the past in Talabama.

isn’t that where pence was governor? Or am I confused? The place where he enacted laws against Planned Parenthood? Where he could keep all the women barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen?

The South doesn’t need statues to know who they are, they pick representative government just like the rest of America. There is more darkness in America’s White House with herr Drumpf!

I grew up in Mississippi during the civil rights struggle in the 50’s and 60’s. I knew many like Judge Roy, and they ran the place during those years. There were laws on the books forcing everyone to live their lives in accordance with their interpretation of the bible. Blue laws told you when you could conduct business, miscegenation laws dictated who could marry who, and sodomy laws even dictated that any sex act other than between a man and wife in the missionary position was punishable by fines or jail time.

Judge Moore accurately reflects the G.O.P.‘s disdain for “the rule of law” and is already shown in Donnie’s attitude toward any “law” he doesn’t approve of (or benefit from!) Donnie’s ‘pet’ Arizona sheriff is also a ‘sterling’ example! Laws (and taxes) are evidently only for ‘little people’, as was pointed out by a wealthy hotel chain owner who ultimately had her opinion proved wrong. We will ultimately prove that no one is above the law, but it will be a long and messy fight. And this applies to ANYONE who believes that they didn’t commit a crime because they didn’t get caught!

What sort of election doesn’t have a lesser of two evils?

Alabama Republicans have picked the greater of all evils to advance to the special election. If there really is a god, Roy Moore would be struck dead by a bolt of heaven sent lightning when he swears to protect the Constitution of the United States at his swearing in.

Pretty bad when “Strange” isn’t the worst choice.

I’m from AL, lifelong. There are many, many of us who are disgusted with the Moore/Strange circus. I just hope there may be enough to vote in Doug Jones (the Democrat) in the “real” election. I have heard some say that they voted for Moore to get him out of AL and so he wouldn’t run fro Governor.

Sharia Law is unacceptable in America because Muslims put the Koran above the Constitution. Obviously, what we need in America is Christian politicians who put the Bible above the Constitution.
