I disagree, Mr. Sherman. This cartoon points out how the rich set the rest of us against each other, rather against the ones actually oppressing us.

The Tom Hanks SNL skit that highlights it:

More tax breaks for billionaires can be paid for by destroying Obamacare.

Thank republicans for keeping Americans in third world status.

Many Americans are surprised when they hear that most people on welfare are white.

White people should be thrown off welfare. What historical disadvantages or enduring discrimination have they faced that causes them to be poor ?

White children just can’t learn basic facts, and they drag down the rest of the class. When a white family moves into a neighborhood, it makes the communities less safe. If they didn’t commit all the crimes, there would be more diversity in the prison system. What we need to do is cut taxes on the wealthy, then these folks can get jobs and start lifting up their communities instead of being a drag on society. We need to get white families expanded credit so they can afford the niceties of American living. We need to expand trade so the white consumer can get cheaper products. We need to protect whites from illegal immigration, because they can not compete with other races. We need to invest in infrastructure where the white communities are, the streets and buildings are crumbling from misuse and neglect. We have to protect the white church. We need to put America, by putting white kids into the military to make more democracies.

Actually, that cartoon is exactly how I talk about white poor people. I’m white and I’ve been poor a number of times in my life, and I gave up having a television, and I certainly didn’t have a smartphone. It’s just a matter of managing very limited resources.

I hope that I live long enough to see the Millennials and Gen-Z fulfill the promise of an America where people are actually equal.

This whole cartoon is totally irrelevant. Black or white poverty is poverty. Unemployment is unemployment. I’ve been unemployed. I have collected unemployment. When I was working, I paid unemployment insurance. why shouldn’t I collect unemployment if I got laid off due to downsizing. I took medication for a broken back, doesn’t make me an addict and it’s nobody’s business anyway. Since I don’t take it now. When I first broke my back I was on food stamps. I’m not on food stamps now. I think this is a story that’s the same as most people’s. And I white not black. But it wouldn’t matter if I was black not white. All of life is up and down unless you’re born with a silver spoon in your mouth or as in Donald Trump’s case a gold spoon in your mouth. We all have hard times in our life it’s how we handle them that makes a difference. If you get knocked down, you get back up. If you’re out of a job, you don’t throw the TV out with the wash. And you need a phone to make contacts for finding a job You come home after looking for jobs and watch the TV in hopes it’ll give you a glimmer of who’s hiring tomorrow on the news. Yeah this whole cartoon is simply a way to bash people when they’re down. Why don’t you figure out a way to help people out instead of knocking them, to help people out instead of knocking them down.

As usual, the answer is, “Nope. Just Vorpal trying to slam them again with his usual insinuation of mental incapacity.”

That’s Vorpal’s go-to. First thing he reaches for. It couldn’t be projection, eh?
