Don’t worry, he’ll keep putting the teacher off till the end of the semester. Of course, if the teacher gives him an “F”, hell complain to “management” and be given a “social promotion” and passed onto the next grade where he’ll fail again.
Lying, cheating, swindling, and disrespectful of those around him. And gets away with it every time, with zero consequences. At least this comic shows me the kind of child I don’t want my daughter to turn out like.
I love modern art, but I wonder about the guy who came up with the term. He could be forgiven for thinking that the world wasn’t going to last much past the 1970s — a lot of people suspected as much — but that seems a little dark. Or, if you really want a dismal angle, maybe he thought the 1970s would last forever. In either case, be he nihilist or narcissist, why name the era at all? Better to accept that you’re a mere blip in the cosmic timeline, an accident that wants to be remembered just a little longer than you’re designed to last, which is kind of the reason behind all art. Just don’t make it unnecessarily hard on the the guy who has to name the next era.
Which is why I love the guy who came up with “post-modern.” Take that, Modern Guy! I got your finite, all-about-me era RIGHT HERE.
Boy, I sure hope “geezernet” meets my own standards for naming eras and such.
