My daughter is high functioning autistic. Anxiety attacks are a frequent problem with her. A fidget spinner was supposedly designed to help with those situations. A polished rock in the pocket can do the same thing by providing a tactile distraction to the situation causing the anxiety. I also found out that I can help her by distracting her by getting her to focus on an immediate task.
