The following is my letter to my Republican Senators and Representative.

As a military veteran, I am deeply offended by Trump’s statement about transgender people in our armed forces. These brave men and women are willing to sacrifice all for me and I do not mean in some abstract way in that they are defending the country, but I mean in a personal way. If we were in combat together I would have absolute faith that they would risk their lives to save mine. And the president doesn’t think they are worthy to serve. If there is one person on this planet with whom I would not sail on a ship, defend a fox hole or fly wing, it is Donald Trump. If you do not condemn his words publicly, then you are as big a coward as he is. Support our troops.

Trump doesn’t want the help of thousands of patriotic Americans because he is a bigot. I don’t see any reason for anyone from the LGBT community, anyone who cares about human rights, or anyone with Trans family members to give support to a military who doesn’t want them.
Trump has no idea what it is like to rely on someone else in a war, the last thing you think about is what is in the other person’s pants. The real mental illness is in the ones who care so much about other’s private parts.
Just FWIW, Gender-confusion is not a mental condition. ALL fetuses start life as a female. About a third of the way into the pregnancy the male hormone kicks in; the ovaries drop to become testes, the clitoris expands, and the lips of the labia grow together. (This is why you guys have a “seam” down the middle.) It’s not a particularly efficient system, but the Good Lord didn’t ask me how to do it. A lot of things can go awry, and we end up with folks who prefer their own gender, and folks who feel they’ve gotten trapped in the wrong body. Is it not a choice! Why would anybody voluntarily get into a situation that causes so much pain to themselves and their families. This is way God made them, and there is a reason.
Any Transgender Soldier/Sailor/Marine/ Airman is MORE of a REAL AMERICAN, BRAVER, and MORE PATRIOTIC then the Draft-dodging traitorous Russian mole slithering around in the White House! PERIOD!
