    Howdy Vagabonds

We’re cool but comfortable, highs around 70.

I see by the morning news that Texas is in for a bit of a blow when Harvey comes to town. Take care David.

Joy, the ski arias are already starting to advertise. A lot of the arias are year round now and run ads all year long, but, now they’re showing snow scenes. Don’t rush it. :-(

“I’ll be seeing you in all the old familiar places.” Later all.

    Morning, Village!

    .

We’re not expecting anything catastrophic. Rain is rain. The media always builds these things up because they strive on sensationalism, but this isn’t any category seven hurricane.

    Good morning, Vagabonds,

We’re almost there! A couple more hours on the road and we’ll be in San Diego. One of our kids is having the dinner at her house tonight. Being a week night, the other family won’t be there. But, we’ll see them all for the next 4 days.

We had a great drive yesterday. There was a blanket of tiny yellow flowers in the Arizona Strip yesterday. Absolutely beautiful. And thunderstorms yesterday and today. I even got a flash flood warning on our cell phone. Nothing that I’m worried about.

Leisurely breakfast then we hit the road.

    Happy Trails

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

I did make it back to Tahoe to take some photos yesterday. Some of them came out pretty good. There is a dam that holds some water (not all of it, Lake Tahoe is in a natural granite basin) that was built in 1909. According to the group of photos they had displayed, they started removing trees and excavating in August and the dam was open for business in November of that year. Can you imagine any project of that magnitude going that fast these days, even if it is a very small dam?

I also drove up to Reno from there to do some shopping. Boy was I glad for GPS!!! I ended up in three different shopping centers, none of which could I have found without it. I had the addresses, but they were little side streets that were the back sides of the stores, and the driveways were nowhere near the addresses.

Rita, I’m glad you are having a safe trip. Sorry I wasn’t in Henderson to wave as you went past.

The temp has been hovering in the low 70’s, and I expect it will be the same today.

    Everyone have a blessed day.
