I’ve hit a wall in the genealogy study. My grandmother left some notes on a particular branch of the family, but it just does not jibe with the census records. Don’t know what to do.
The sun is almost up over the trees, and it looks like it’s going to be a nice day. After raining practically all day yesterday, that will be great. Now I will get a chance to drive back to Lake Tahoe and take those photos.
We’re in Draper (south of Salt Lake City), and couldn’t believe the horrendous traffic from Idaho Falls south. There had to be a kazillion people watching the eclipse there, in the path of totality. If you had the glasses, you’d be excited. We didn’t buy the glasses, and enjoyed the show without looking at the sun. We relied on the NASA telescope for the pictures. My time-lapse photography wasn’t worth it. I was shooting at the areas that only showed a teeny tiny change in light. I did shoot stills, and the interiors and deck showed the most light changes. I was disappointed that the sky didn’t darken, so we didn’t see any stars. I guess with 6% of the sun showing, the sun still gives off a heck of a lot of light.
Well, we’re off for the day. South Las Vegas tonight. Sure hope all those cars won’t be on the road again today!

Good morning Vagabonds
Last night the clouds opened up and spilled all over, this morning the sun is shining but cooler.
With all the eclipse excitement over, there ain’t much to talk about. So I’ll just say happy day all.

Good morning Vagabonds.
Well we didn’t get any rain last night but the humidity was up to over 70 and still is. Supposed to drop today down to the low 50’s.
Good day to all, especially all those traveling.
