Rand Paul objected to the fact that the current Senate bill keeps too many of the Obamacare regulations and subsidies, but said that he was open to supporting the bill as long as it was “more of a repeal bill and less of a big government bill.” Starting to wonder if there’s something toxic to the brain in the Kentucky water…
It’s “Wealthcare,” not healthcare. It’s giving a big tax cut to the 400 wealthiest families in the country, and the way the GOP chose to do that is to gut Medicare, remove 22 million people from Obamacare, and, frankly, kill a lot of poorer citizens. The Pentagon is untouched (going up in the Trump budget), of course.
Mitch McConnell had polio as a youngster and was treated with funds from the March of Dimes. Does the man ever blush to admit he wants to cut funds from – you guessed it! – the March of Dimes.

I wonder if these folks are as austere with their own health insurance.

The Republicans oppose this bill because it doesn’t give all the money to the rich, and some minorities may still get to see a doctor.
