So Lisa, you want to suppress political discourse. Where do you think that will take your country? Is everyone supposed to only hail your supreme leader with faint praise from now on?

Political discourse was thrown out some time ago by both the house of not representatives and the senate. Now all we have is a dog fight. We need to fire all of them.

Another nut with a gun, not as good a shot as the guy at UPS. When will we realize how many folks don’t have bodyguards? When will military designed weapons not be reaching our streets with large capacity magazines? It isn’t politics, except the reluctance to get sane regulations to make EVERYONE safer!

Hummm, sounds like a “Second Amendment Solution”, as recommended by the Great Cheeto Jeebus HIMSELF!

looks like the politicians on the hill are coming together, can the rest of us? Or is this going to turn into finger pointing and blaming? Can we talk about gun control now?

Love those hateful Trump rallies, hang Hillary, jail her, punch people in the face and I’ll pay for it. Bring that back it was fun.

So, who will be the first nutcase to start to scream “False Flag Operation!”? Jones? Hannity? Coulter? Beck?

Both sides are and have for years been vilifying and dehumanizing the other. Think “deplorables”, calling each other nazis, fascists, racists, hate mongers, terrorist-supporters, baby-killers. Even “snowflakes” is dismissive. They use demagoguery to shine a spotlight on the worst of it and presenting it as the norm, for the “other side”. Politicians saying the other side “will kill millions if their policies are passed”. It’s war-time propaganda.

The media feeds into it for ratings. You’ll tune in if you feel aggrieved, conflicted. Facebook shows you you’re in the right by tailoring your feed to what you want to see. You only see the news articles that reinforce your point of view. You drop friends who don’t agree with you. Your remaining friends and other societal pressures make sure a different point-of-view is seen as radical, out-there, extreme.

If you no longer see the other side as human, you start to consider that they’re not worth protecting or listening to. In fact, listening to them is treasonous or somehow promoting hate speech. While you don’t support violence per se, Antifa is only doing what needs to be done to eradicate the “other point of view”. “Those people” aren’t real Americans, they don’t believe what you do, they must not be allowed to say what they want to say. But they’re still saying it, they’re still being voted into office, they’re still pushing their agenda. This is dangerous! The future of the country is at at stake! They must be stopped BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.

wearing blinders and blaming “the other side” won’t solve a thing. Looks like the comments show a frustration in a system where we have little voice, where we have to deal with this kind of thing all the time. Where a privileged class who decided to take the last six years and make guns easier to get not harder, now comes under fire. The first thing that happened was everyone pulls together and says they are one. Then the finger pointing. The insults have not let up since Giffords was shot, shall we continue until more of congress comes under fire?

Getting rid of Trump is a whole other topic, he had nothing to do with the shooting, he was colluding with Russians. We do not need a shooter to get rid of Trump, we need a few patriotic Senators who will put country above party.

I’m so proud to live in a country where even people like the ballpark shooter have the right and the freedom to own guns to defend themselves against an overreaching government.

A senseless act by a christian terrorist. But the Right has tought us that you can’t defeat them unless you call them by their religion.

When Gabriel Giffords was shot, Sarah Palin put cross hairs over her and told her rabid followers to take care of her. This is not the same case with Sanders. Since the shooter was a Sanders supports, some right-wing trolls are drooling in glee to connect all Democrats to the shooter. Thanks for giving us a few moments for Rep Scalise, go ahead with your lies and thin-skinned whining, I think that was enough time, it was only a gun shot.
