    Good morning Vagabonds.

Yesterday was a beautiful day and today is supposed to be more of the same. There is a very slim chance that we might have some sprinkles in the afternoon.

Nothing major going on other than going to church at 4:00 pm.

Maybe Sunday getting something going on.

    Peace to all.

Good morning, Vagabonds. It’s good to be back in “Commentland” again. My German cousins write that they miss me (I miss them also) so I guess I was a good guest.

    Hi Vagabonds

The forecast for today is gorgeous not to mention beautiful, they are saying high thin clouds in the south.

Got some doings this morning, then clear sailing for rest of the day.

Hope your skies are clear and your way is bright.

    Good morning, Vagabonds,

Glad you all are having great weather. It was 91 again yesterday, and I’m sure it’ll be the same today. We’re heading out to Spokane for the airshow. So, if you don’t hear from me for a few days, that’s why.

Just gave all my herbs and peppers an extra shot of water plus added the water saucers to hold more. They should be fine until Monday night.

    Happy Trails.

It rained very hard here most of the night. We are experiencing a lot of local flooding and high winds, but our home high and dry.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Rita, Michael will be jealous. He was born and raised in Spokane and is very familiar with that air show. Have a safe and fun trip.

I am grateful for the comments yesterday about the cataracts. Mine aren’t anywhere near ready for surgery yet, but I will continue to monitor them. I am a teeny bit suspicious, though. When Michael had his eyes examined the same day, the doctor told him exactly the same thing. Maybe he was just trying to drum up further business? (BTW, it would be great if cataract surgery restored me to 20/20, but with my astigmatism and axial problem (double vision), it would be a miracle.)

Today is the monthly Koinonia fellowship potluck at church. It will be the last one for me before we leave town on the 12th, so we plan to attend. It should be a lot of fun and good food. We have some great cooks at Calvary Chapel of Henderson.

Things are winding down here. It feels like I’m wrenching myself away from my roots. On the up side, I am really looking forward to being on the road and seeing the country. We’ve been planning this since 2003 when we bought the first motorhome. One more major thing to fix on the RV, which this time involves them keeping it overnight. We have arranged for the use of one of the camping cabins here in the park, so we won’t have to find a hotel that allows the cats.

The forecast for today is 104 (according to Microsoft) and it’s already 90 at 7:30 AM.

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    Good afternoon Vagabonds.

It is a beautiful day here in Mid-MO. It is only in the low 80’s here and is supposed to stay below 85 all week. Also the humidity is low so it makes for very pleasant weather. Went out to the farmer’s market this morning and stocked up on my veggies for the week.

Not much going on around here. We have Old Settlers coming up next weekend. They do an old time encampment and do a shoot with muzzle loading weapons. It is quite a show. The crafters will all be out with their merchandise. It is a nice way to spend the morning.

    Everyone have a wonderful week.

    Good Sunday morning Vagabonds.

Boy has the week gone fast.

Had no rain yesterday and today is going to be another nice day with temp in the upper 70’s along the coast and then into the low 80’s for the next week. If you can believe them.

May good things continue to come your way.

I have been searching for over 20 years for the grave of my great-great grandfather, who was a Swiss immigrant. His wife is buried in the historic Glenwood Cemetery in Houston, along with other members of the family. But he’s not in that cemetery. By the process of elimination I have decided that he must have been interred in the old Houston City Cemetery, which was in use from 1840 to about 1890 and held as many as 10,000 graves. However, the geniuses at City Hall decided back in the 1920s to actually plow that cemetery up and build a charity hospital on the site. Makes me mad to think of it!

    Good afternoon, Vagabonds.

Not much happening here. I went to church this morning, then over to the storage unit to pick up the “spares” (extra paper towels, trash bags, etc.) that we will be stowing in the “basement” when we move out. We will wait until the shade moves to that side of the RV before we try to figure out where to stow it.

One of the men at church got a chance to use our .22 target rifles last spring at the men’s shoot and has been bugging me ever since to sell them to him. Last night at the pot-luck, Michael finally said yes and I delivered them this morning. He offered about twice what we thought they might be worth, based on what a new one costs. So now we are a few hundred dollars richer and have less to keep in storage.

Last night’s pot-luck and this morning’s church service were emotional experiences for me. Only one more left before we leave, and it feels like leaving my family. It’s a bit gut-wrenching.

    Everyone have a blessed Sunday.
