1967 came back from ‘Nam and the LA air was poison. We got regulations and laws, and cleaned things up. Now we want to go backwards, and the coal industry, well “energy industry” that controls all including nuke, hydro, wind, and solar, buying into all of them, is even against Trump’s stupidity. Interesting.
People stopped being important to the political parties in the mid 1970’s and supply side economics replaced consumer driven economics. Outsourcing was a fad that proved impractical in many cases, but AI and automation are making great inroads in reshaping our society to a increasingly jobless one where environmental needs of humans are less important.
We have issues that are well understood by young business people, but we have an aging Congress that has not in their days experienced these effects as they are currently impacting society.

Today the average American is 20 years younger than their representative in Congress. This should come as no surprise, considering that over the past 30 years the average age of a Member of Congress has increased with almost every new Congress. In 1981, the average age of a Representative was 49 and the average of a Senator was 53. Today, the average age of a Representative is 57 and the average of a Senator is 61. This prompted us to take a further look at those graying averages.
Democratic leaders in the House are two decades older than Republican leaders.
The average age of the Democratic House leadership is 72 years old, whereas the average age of Republican House leadership is 48 years old. This trend continues in House committee leadership with Republican chairmen averaging 59 years old and ranking Democrats averaging 68 years old.
It does not matter if all the pollution is concentrated in flyover states. Those people are only needed at election time anyway. We just scare and manipulate them into voting against their own good. They are easily fooled.
I can remember driving across the George Washington bridge from the Cross Bronx Expressway, and NOT being able to see the New Jersey end of the bridge until I was over halfway across due to the glop in the air. Also I can remember driving through Palm Springs, Ca. and NOT being able to see the mountains on either side of the Interstate due to the same reason. Now Donnie Dumpsterfire and his minions and corporate buddies want to take us back to the bad old days of air you can chew, and water that glows in the dark!

I can’t understand why anyone would be for dumping these regulations! Yeah, the EPA oversteps sometimes, but to go back to the dark ages is insane.

I think it is all part of the grand plan to save Social Security, (by making sure no one lives long enough to use it)

Dave, is it Nanny state to provide safe and reliable services to the entire population?
Night-Gaunt49[Bozo is Boffo] almost 7 years ago
