“…if you are McMaster and Powell, you have to wonder why you were dispatched to deny the story in the first place. These are seasoned foreign policy professionals who put their own credibility on the line when they speak for the president. If they deny the story, they better hope the president backs them up.
Yet again, he’s proved he’s liable to say whatever he wants — even if it makes the people around him look bad."
“As bad as the exposure of sources and methods would be on its own terms, the long-term consequences for counterterrorism are even worse. This is because Trump divulged information collected by a U.S. ally, without its permission. This was a breach of trust that is likely to damage not only the intelligence relationship with the country in question, but also with other countries.”
I guess even the “likely voters” that Rasmussen polls are getting suspicious the Trump is not working for their best interests.

To inter: You have made it apparent that you’ll dance any tune that Trump plays. What else is Israel going to say in this context? That it’s breaking all ties with its only relatively reliable powerful ally? Meanwhile, intelligence agencies around the world are reportedly rethinking sharing any intelligence with the US, which will make this country less secure.
Here’s the thing: if we know what the intelligence was, then there’s a much better chance of knowing who gathered that intelligence. Here’s an analogy: only a certain number of people might know that Putin had bacon and eggs for breakfast. If this information gets out, then obviously one of those people is colluding with outside folks to expose Putin’s bacon-and-eggs habit. That is, the exposure of intelligence can very easily lead to the exposure of the intelligence agent themselves, even without revealing names, etc.
And let’s be honest, you folks were screaming to high heaven about the potential for leaking of much less consequential information from your political opponent’s emails. But when your führer (who, by the way, was one of those screaming bloody murder) irresponsibly exposes an ally’s intelligence to one of that ally’s opponents, everything is peachy keen? You just demonstrate that nothing you say should be taken seriously.

“Did I do that?” – Trump on Russian collusion.
Looks like Trump gave Russia classified information because he was bragging about his great intel. He just had to prove it.

As always, Trump worries more about the leak than the story which is leaked.
