I never really listened to ABBA until a few years ago, other than occasionally hearing a few of their songs in public places (I was only a kid when they were active), but they really were pretty good. Some of their songs are a bit cheesy lyrically, but the music is well written. Lou Reed was a fan, Elvis Costello’s “Oliver’s Army” was directly influenced by them, and of course Madonna sampled them for “Hung Up”. So there are a lot of artists that it’d be worse to be stuck listening to on a road trip.

I would offer all the ABBA CDs so we could listen to EVERYTHING they did! My kind of car trip! :o)
