Does anyone realize that the only purpose of business, any business, is to make money for its owners, not to create jobs. Decreasing corporate taxes only increases profitability and puts more money in the owner’s pocket. Only increased demand and lack of resources to meet that demand will create jobs.
The way GOP has set up taxes and regulations has shackled the economy. Businesses owe a greater share in taxes to support their beloved military which protects their business interests and markets.
“Economy”? Whose “economy”. Regulations — appropriate ones — help prevent megacorporations from ruining my economy. And oddly(?) enough, it’s only the ones I consider appropriate that Trump seems bent on repealing. Plenty of “inappropriate” regulations that he either wants to leave in place or add to the list.
I see the cartoonist Ramirez is still shilling for Republicans, as always. We are always sold by Republicans that if you just cut taxes and regulations enough the economy will soar. It’s the same thing the Bush Administration tried to sell us. All we got was a bogus recovery charged to the nation’s credit card and then a massive Recession. Of course when you reduce revenue and the debt soars, what happens, you pay for the debt with future tax increases. Trickle down is a fairy tale.
It’s taxes and regulations that feed that bird, and protect it’s habitat, and keep it from eating too many poisoned game, poisoned by lead in bullets and shot.
Inventor, With the tax reductions there should also be reductions in deductions. (that is where the revenue increase comes from, if done correctly)Reagan had revenue increase, he also exploded the budget with spending on the military. His additional government spending (tho he overdid it) is what brought the economy back, just like ending spending on the Viet Nam War brought on the recession.
Refreshing to see that the RWNJ economic illiterates know all the answers to Trump’s business problems - too many regulations and too many tax laws - the obvious reasons that his entire business career has been a charade!
