    Good morning Vagabonds.

Looks like a cloudy day today. At least it stopped raining for now. Will be in the 60’s.

Looking ahead to the holiday they are calling for rain for most of the day.

Hope you all have it dry for the day.

    Hi Vagabonds

What a beautiful day (blah) It’s gray, not raining, yet, and a little dark so encouraging, NOT.

By the forecast Saturday will be partly sunny and Sunday will be partly cloudy. (0.o)

Life goes on, it’s Saturday again and I must go foraging for food at the supermarket.

A good day to all and may God bless.

    Good morning, Vagabonds,

I remember the days when we were working, and remember the horrible traffic on the Friday afternoon/evening before Memorial Day. A lot of people would leave early to avoid the “Get out of Town Friday” traffic. We miss it so much, that we check out our front windows and look for the congestion…………none! I LOVE living in a small city!!!

We’re having wonderful sun today, tomorrow, the next day, the next day, the next day, the next day and so on and so forth! :))))

    Enjoy the weekend. Happy Trails.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Rita, you got the “going to Vegas” exodus traffic. We get the “coming to Vegas” influx. We are expecting somewhere around 350,000 visitors this weekend. We’ve been told to stay off the I15 or the “entertainment corridor” (AKA the strip) because traffic will be horrendous. We live way out on the East side, so it won’t be as much of a problem, but the campground is full and a lot of the weekend residents are in a party mood, so we won’t count on a quiet time.

I have a baby shower to go to today. It is a real celebration for a young woman who has had a lot of problems with addiction and was told she couldn’t have kids. She’s 7 months along and she and the baby girl are just fine. Her mom and grandmother (especially the mom) are so excited they can hardly stand themselves.

I found at U-Haul the neatest packing boxes for our Waterford crystal. You get the box, partitions to make 18 little spaces and foam pouches to put the glasses into. It worked like a charm, and eliminated one of Michael’s concerns about packing up the kitchen. (We are not taking the crystal on the road with us – too much vibration and shifting.)

Yesterday was a bit cooler – mid 80’s instead of mid 90’s. But it looks like the week-end will be back in the 90’s again.

I’m back again. It has turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day with temp in the high 70’s.

We had 1 3/8 inches of rain after 2 days, now look at it. That’s New England. Maybe we will luck out on Monday.

    Good morning Vagabonds

Well, yesterday came off as a nice day and the sun is shining through the leaves this morning. Weather report says mostly sunny today and rain likely so, hopefully the rain will hold off until after the military services.

For me today it’s Church then Sunday dinner, then Zzzzzzzzzzzz. ;-)

    Blessed day to all.

It’s me again. I’m back to point out a typo, it should …say rain likely tomorrow so,…

While I’m here, have you seen the Fort Knox strip this morning

    Later.

    Good morning, Vagabonds,

Going to be a great day…….until 3 p.m…….then, it has a 70% chance of a thundershower. It will water all the grasses (and weeds) and go away and we will have a lovely evening. I just hope the showers coming to Indianapolis will be quick and safe for the drivers.

You paint quite an interesting picture, Jan. As you say, you are far enough east that it shouldn’t be too bad. But……350,000 visitors???? That’s humongous! Our entire city population of Helena is only 30,000! Egads!

And, the reason for the holiday, we pay tribute to all who have served and gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. I salute you!

    Happy Trails.

    Good afternoon Vagabonds.

We’re expecting about 95 today, pretty much a clone of yesterday. It’s still spring, so the overnight temps are still in the 70’s. In deep summer, it never gets below 85 at night. Last night we spent some time in the pool and hot tub, then came back here to watch Victor/Victoria. That movie is a real hoot!

Rita, just so you know, Las Vegas is the largest city in Nevada with a population of over 2 million. Henderson is the second largest, and they just passed 300K. (Henderson is also one of the top 10 safest cities in America and has been for 5 years.) There’s all sorts of interesting factoids on Wiki about us.

We’re taking a day off to relax and grill some ribs. Or at least we were going to. The satellite receiver for the RV arrived in the mail yesterday, and now Michael is trying to set it up. That’s part of the reason this is posting so late: he keeps asking me questions and wants me to look stuff up for him, thus interrupting my toon tour. (Heavy sigh) Ah well, at least we will be able to watch something other than DVD’s now (or soon, anyway).

Everyone have a blessed Sunday and a great Memorial Day holiday.

Update: It didn’t work. Something is wrong with the antenna. So, it’s back to the RV place to get it fixed. On Tuesday. Maybe.
