    I mentioned those venerable 707’s a few days ago. Built from 1958 to 1979. The story about Tex Johnston doing a barrel roll in the Boeing prototype of the 707 over boat races in Seattle is true.

    The easiest way to tell them apart is the DC-8 nose has two scoops on the underside of the nose. 707s have a pointier nose too.
