Time to have General von Flockenstuffen committed.

Demolished an airfield, took away the ability to bomb from the air….for almost a whole day.

Meanwhile, prominent Democrats (Clinton, Kerry, etc.) are cheering Trump on. I wish we could succeed in dumping the neoliberal warhawks from the Democratic Party. Better to have the entire party peopled with Sanderistas.

And, he STILL needs one after this debacle.

What, exactly did we WIN?

Well, we spent $100 million or so,

so we must have won _something.

Right? Right?

By the way, guess who owns stock in Raytheon, the company that made the Missiles??

The problem here is that this really is not a “win” other than in the media for the most part.

Syria has already repaired the airfield and is ready to launch more planes, some of them with chemical weapons.

What the president needed to do was follow up that missile launch with the landing of troops, at the beaches near Latakia or raining down from the sky near both Raqqa and Damascus to send a message to both Assad and DAESH that we mean business.

But this missile launch was only a “half-measure”, as “Mike Ehrmantraut” would say on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul—Season 3 starts tomorrow night…

Way to go, Press. You just rewarded this attention-crazed authoritarian for throwing missiles at a field. Soon that won’t be enough.
