Arye asked me to pass this on to all the Vagabonds:

So far, it looks like I’ll be returning to NY on April 26 at 10 pm to JFK.

Today I had an interesting tour of the city of San Jose with a group of Puerto Ricans tourists, so it was all in Spanish and i understood the guide, although he added some facts in English for my benefit. My 1st impression of San Jose was that it had a lot of ugly buildings and too many hills. But soon the tour bus took us to a beautiful residential neighborhood where professionals lived’

We saw the downtown area full of nice shops , university, government buildings and churches,

Knowing I was Jewish (I had asked him where was the synagogue) the guide pointed out a building where the 1st synagogue was.

At the end of the tour we all ate in a nice restaurant,

    Good morning Vagabonds

Our VT spring is keeping on keeping on, mud season is being nice to us though.

It is nice to hear from Arye, and that he’ll be getting back to NYC soon.

Well, I’ve been thinking (dangerous I realize) of a little quiz, here goes.

Famous last words spoken at the end of a TV show, name the show:

    1. He always said “Head ‘em up, move ’em out”

    2. “Say good night Gracie.” – “Good night Gracie.”

    3. He always said “Good night and may God bless”

    4. She said “Good night” and then toughed on her ear.

That’s about it for now, I’ll keep looking for Arye on Facebook, and you all have a wonerful day. :-)

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Mark, I don’t know #1 but the other three are George Burns, Red Skelton and Carol Burnett.

I had a pastor in Victorville who was related to Red Skelton. In fact he was named after him (Richard was his real first name). Also, I was privileged to see Red in concert at the Anaheim Convention Center once. He was a consummate professional and put on an absolutely great show, especially the Gilbey’s Gin bit. (A smoooooooooooth drink.)

We’re going to try to replace the sink today. Wish us luck.

    Another 83 degree day. Ho-hum…..

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    Good morning, Vagabonds,

Well, Baby Chase is doing newborn baby things. Of course, this Grandma thinks he is absolutely gorgeous! He had his hearing tested and passed. They will hopefully go home tomorrow. I’ll be spending the day cooking up a storm for their freezer. All is well. :))

Mark, I loved your quiz. Brings back a lot of fond memories!

    Happy Trails.

Rawhide, Burns & Alan, The Red Skelton Show, and The Carol Burnett Show. You should have added another one: “Good night, Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are!”

Got the sink done. Looks great and no leaks (so far). Thanks for the good wishes. Funny thing was the cast iron with enamel sink that rusted through weighed about a third of the new porcelain one.

And I misread the quiz premise. While Red Skelton and Carol Burnett had shows named after themselves, George Burns’ show was the Burns & Allen show.

    Hi, Everybody,

We just got back to our hotel. Spent 8 hours cooking for Lana’s freezer. I promised to cook if Jack cleaned up after me. What a day! But their freezer has about 25 meals ready for them when they are. Our little Darlin’ is so sweet. He has really grown in the last day.

We’re both really tired, so we’ll sit back with the bottle of wine the hotel treated us to, and watch a TV show or two. We always travel with a portable DVD player so we can enjoy our kind of shows. Oh, Arthur, we have 5 grandkids……3 girls and 2 boys. Plus two more that are step children and are adults. But, we love them all the same.

    Good night, Family!

Good morning Vagabonds.Nice sunny day with clear blue skies. A little windy with temp about 60.

All the bushes are blooming and bringing color to the yards.Yes Rita, the things we do for our children. I guess that’s our role in life as long as they appreciate it.
